Warranty & Returns

Born Outdoor stands behind the quality of our gear. This page explains our Limited Lifetime Warranty, how returns, exchanges and refunds work, and what happens if you cancel an order. If your order isn’t right, we offer returns, exchanges or refunds within 30 days under the terms below.

What is the Born Outdoor Limited Lifetime Warranty?

Our Limited Lifetime Warranty applies to physical goods, and only physical goods, purchased from Born Outdoor. It covers defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the lifetime of the product. Born Outdoor will repair or replace, at no charge, products or parts of a product that prove defective because of improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.

The warranty does not cover any problem caused by conditions, malfunctions or damage that do not result from defects in material or workmanship. It only covers manufacturing defects, and you must have used the product only as intended and in accordance with its care and safety instructions.

  • You must provide proof of the date of purchase.
  • You must have purchased the product from Born Outdoor or a Born Outdoor authorized dealer.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Please contact us with your receipt or order email and a description of the problem. We will work with you to determine the problem and the most appropriate solution.

What does the warranty not cover?

  • Products that are not Born Outdoor products.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Cosmetic wear unrelated to function or safety, such as loose threads, scuffs or stains.
  • UV damage, because the sun eventually breaks down all fabric.
  • Accidents that damage the product, such as rips and tears caused by bears, dogs, badgers or sharp objects like knives and pointy sticks, or burns from fire embers or volcanos.
  • Altering the product to change its functionality, or using it for something other than its intended purpose. Using a Born Outdoor product as a traction board to get your vehicle unstuck is an example of unintended use.
  • Third-party products purchased through Born Outdoor, which are subject to that company’s own warranty program. When possible, Born Outdoor may help facilitate a warranty replacement or repair, and the customer is responsible for any costs incurred by Born Outdoor.

How do returns, exchanges and refunds work?
